PRINCIPAL'S NEWS - MR PETER HUGHES
We are currently in a rare period of school life where we can focus in classes on academic work. We have a few weeks free from major external and school based events that can create disruptions to teachers programs. We also have all staff back on deck so it is good to see students engaged and working well. In the next few weeks staff begin writing Semester One reports which go home at the end of week eight. They are currently working with students to gather data to inform their awarding of grades.
WHOLE SCHOOL PRAYER
Each week, teachers and students come together to pray as a community. Our school hall becomes a sacred space where we gather around our prayer table. The symbols we use in this sacred space are linked to the church’s liturgical calendar, special events and themes chosen from class work.
Our prayers are led by Year 6 leaders and each week a different class makes and presents their chosen symbol. These symbols are then taken back to all classrooms and added to class prayer tables.
This week, our prayer focus was National Reconciliation Week and our symbols were made by 3/4R.

Athletics Carnival - High Jump
Our High Jump will be held next week at school. Next Thursday the students in Years 3 to 6 will participate in a coaching session with Phil McInerney. All students in Years 3 to 6 need to wear their sports uniform. On Friday students that have cleared the minimum height requirement during the practice session will compete in the High Jump finals supervised by Mr McInerney and Mrs Presser. Only those students competing need to wear their sports uniform. These students will be notified on Thursday and a Compass message will be put out.
The Western Region Athletics Carnival will be held in Temora on Friday 21st June. Notes will be sent out via Compass email after the High Jump is completed.
